Jack Grealish on top of his game
This weeks analysis comes from Old Trafford and the game between Manchester United vs Aston Villa.
Jack Grealish the Aston Villa captain was instrumental in Villas promotion to the Premier League and the Villa captain is showing why he belongs in the top tier of English Football.
Physically he has added a lot muscle this year and in conjunction with his technical and tactical attributes he is surely knocking on the door of Gareth Southgate's England.
In this game Manchester United knew he was a threat fouling him several times higher up the field. They recognised they must stop him which in turn halts Villas attack.
Grealish has excellent close control and understands when to change pace. He lures players close to him and then with a drop f the shoulder changes his pace and is gone. By doing this he also draws more opponents in which in turn then frees up his team mates. Knowing when to release the ball is key and he times this very well.
He has added many goals and assists to his game this year and the goal he scored in this game was world class. Coming in from wide left he lures Perreira in close, shifts the ball to the right foot ad bends it into the far top corner vs David de Gea which is no easy feat.
